The German-born singer/songwriter/composer Michaela (Misha) Steinhauer has been based in New York since 2014, but her musical roots stretch back a lifetime: She lifted her voice in song before she learned to walk, and demonstrated a natural ability to improvise before she ever heard of the word or the concept.
